My Dog Is Dying And My Heart Is Broketn. Having lost my old lab of 15 years, less than 3 years ago, i am now facing losing my 5 year old lab. His death has been far worse than the death of my dad (very unexpected) my mom (who was ill for a long time) and my sister (she battled cancer).
No one could have predicted a brain tumour would take him away so young. My last dog died early in the week ad by the saturday we were at the dogs trust, filling in forms and jumping through hoops so that when the right dog came along, all the admin would be done. The pain of losing a pet for someone who is that connected is devastating, traumatic, and often lasts a lifetime.
